Los Cabos is Fun for the Whole Family!
If you’re planning a seaside family vacation to the beautiful Los Cabos area, you might be wondering what activities will be available for your children, and whether or not these activities will keep them entertained. Don’t worry; there are plenty of fun things to do for visitors of all ages—whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart!
Have a Blast at Wet Fun Water Park!
One of the best places to take your kids is to the local water park, Parque Acuatico (also known as Wet Fun). Located just a short drive from San Jose Del Cabo, this park is mostly frequented by natives of the area. It’s not generally a spot that tourists know about, meaning that the park isn’t nearly as crowded as some of the more popular sites in Los Cabos.
You and your family can reap the benefits of having this hidden treasure all to yourselves! Because Wet Fun is situated in a remote area, park developers have had ample room to expand. Zip down one of the many thrilling slides for kids and adults of all ages, hop aboard the awesome pirate ship, or relax in one of the park’s clean, quiet pools. For younger children, there are also kiddie pools and water playgrounds.
Wet Fun is a well-maintained park, particularly when it comes to their landscaping. Shaded areas with picnic tables and chairs can be found throughout the park, allowing everyone to enjoy their down-time in between excursions to the slides. For food, you can catch a bite to eat for pretty cheap at Pelican Jack’s, where they serve excellent quesadillas, chicken nuggets, and hamburgers. Snacks, drinks, beer, and ice cream can also be purchased here.
Hours, Season, and Prices
Unfortunately, Wet Fun is not open seven days per week, so we recommend calling ahead to make sure that the park will be open when you plan to visit. The park’s normal hours of operation are Friday through Sunday, from 10:00am to 6:00pm. The park closes for the winter and normally re-opens in late March.
Children ages three to ten years old have discounted park entry prices at 135 pesos, while it costs 175 pesos for adults. Be advised: the park only accepts cash, so be sure to make a withdrawal beforehand.
